SUCCESS
I also thought that way to success is like one way. But I agree with his conclusion, 8 factors are important to success. All of them are necessary.I learned that keeping to make efforts and not giving up desire are the best way for success, it is so difficult for us though. So, in my opinion his main point is that the 8 factors (passion, work, focus, push, ideas, improve, serve, persist) all are necessary to succeed in life, then we must not be satisfied when we succeed. Getting failure is so easier that succeeding. And also, what "success" means depends on each people.

MARSHMALLOW
This experiment is so interesting because I don't have idea like this (childrend's behavior based on their endurance).
About my self-discipline, for example, exams or reports give me chance to control myself. I plan for them and endure the desires to hang out with friends, watch TV, and so on. When I wan a junior high school student, I couldn't concentrate to study or things to do. But, year by year, as I experienced same kinds of situations, I have learnt how to control.
I'm not sure wether this is "marshmallow". But I'm doing everything since I can go to America (study abroad) after that.
See you!!

INTERNET
I often use the Internet for my assignments and just for fun like communication. If there is not computers and the Internet, I think we cannot research and do assignment. So, now it is one of necessities for me.
About study, I always get the information and news from the Internet. Although I do not dislike reading books, I depend on web resources because it is so easy to find something. It helps me not waste time. And also, web resources often contain visual aids like pictures and videos. I can understand more easily.
One of the main purposes is communication with friends. I really like facebook, mixi, and twitter because I can see how friends (in other countries) are doing. When I miss them, I also can look at their photos on the websites. It is so convenient, useful, and enjoyable.
I have no idea what I should do if there is no these kinds of websites. Now, I find how I depend on the Internet.

MULTITASKING
Multitasking is important for everyone, it is so hard for us though. How do I do assignments and preparation for exam or presentation at the same time? I think my character is methodical a little, so before I start doing them always I make a list to do the day in my schedule book. It is so helpful for me, because I can check what I should do first, and also it is enjoyable to cross out what I finished. Then I feel a sense of achievement.
I'd like teachers to check schedule of other classes. However I know it is impossible in big school like Kwangaku. Another idea is that teacher make schedule before semester starts and conduct classes as planned. It must be accurate. This is important because some teachers sometimes change the schedules or add assingment and tests suddenly. It disturbs students' plan. But, to be honest I know it is difficult to realize. So, I want you to tell me your efficient way, if you have.
See you later ;)

SHORT FILM
I watched all of the three films, my favorite one is the film of a man and a camera.
To be honest I couldn't understand what the creator wanted to say. But it was very interesting. As my interpretation, the man had flashed on the idea to taking photo of people chase so hard, then he moved into action. He took that kind of photo of various people. Finally, he succeeded with his works, so he wants to continue the work and trains regularly. I think this film wants to say that all people have surprising ideas, then we can do anything, and doing something that a person really likes makes him or her lively.
Through watching these short films, I learned that it doesn't matter how long a film is to express what a creator want to say, and audience also can understand or learn something from watching (I mean "by eyes").
This week's blogging topic was so interesting, I could enjoy!

USING CELLPHONE
I chose question(1).
These days, many people do not care about using cellphones and seeing others who use them in public so much. So, people have been becoming familiar to the environment with cellphones. I'm also one of them, and got used to seeing others using cellphones and talking on cellphones on the train. Sometimes it makes bothered me, but I don't care so much.
I think that young people can accept these kinds of behavior with cellphones. However, I think elders cannot stand with this new culture because they know manners in public in old days. They might compare modern behavior to it. People's opinions about this problem differ based on age. Also, I think that using cellphones in public might be more usual among young people.

India
If I have time and money, then I can go to a country I'm interested in, I would choose India.
One of the reasons why I want to go there is recently I talked that India seemed so interesting, exciting, historical, and exotic with my best friend. Also I read a book about India. It was very funny, interesting, and different from Japan, so it made me to want to go there much more. I am feeling that I have to go there someday.
Next, I like curry and spicy food. Sometimes I go to the Indian restaurant and enjoy eating them. But, I want to eat real Indian food with feeling atmosphere of real Indea. For example, eating curry by using right hand. We cannnot do that in Japan.
For other reasons, the Taj Mahal, India's hot weather, Indian ethnic goods and designs, and so on.
In short, I really want to go to Indea. If I go there, it must be a trip full of incident. But it's not bad meaning. I must see and learn something I cannot learn in Japan because India isn't developped so much. I think I can find what original humans are.
As writing this, I am coming to want to go there more and more.

TV Drama
I think we are impacted by medias everyday. It can be both good and bad for us. But I can learn various things from them, they often make me interested in new things.
As my case, American TV dramas made me interested in American life, learning about it, and study abroad. I watched "Full house" for the first time when I was a child. Then, their different appearances were impressive for me and I came to know that there were many kinds of people in the world. Also, life style in that drama was different from Japanese style. As a example, they didn't care about wearing shoes at home and lying on the bed with wearing shoes. That was so interesting for me. At the same time, I thought their life was so cool, and came to be like them, I didn't understand American jokes in the drama though.
Now I think this experience made my present interests. As a result of this, I am studying English and other international subjects here.

version 2
I think Japanese culture is one of the cultures that are strict about people's relationships. There are various relationships based on age, status, position, and so on. Japanese ones seem to be more vertical and complicated, different from some other cultures'. So I want foreigners to be careful about it.
owever, most Japanese people cannnot explain the system of relationships in our culture and teach the rules. it is because we have been leaning it since we are born and living here. What foreigners feel unusual is naturally for us.
In my opinion, one reason why this system is complicated is that we have honorific language, which some other cultures don't have. We use it in not only the situations that foreigners learn from their Japanese textbooks, but also various appropriate situations that we face as parts of daily life.
One example is the first meetings, especially meeting person who really see for the first time. Most Japanese people use honorific language even if the person seems to be younger than or same age as themselves. Another example is in companies or societies. Workers use honorific language to bosses even if the bosses are younger than or same as themselves. But they might start to use peer language when they get close, it is not so often though.
In short, the main point that I want to tell foreigners is that in Japanese culture people think to be polite to almost everyone in more important than to be friendly for good relationships. So I want foreigners to experience Japanese style and learn actually in Japan.

My Goal
My goal is to learn something important through studying abroad. I'll go to Iowa this August and study there about for 1 year. 1 year is long, isn't it? So, I don't waste my important time. To be honest, I have not decided what I study there except English. But I think life in Iowa is a good chance for me to learn something that I cannnot learn at uni and in Japan. For example, living by myself, American culture, making new foreign friends and so on. In short, I hope I will become a different person after studying abroad.
For my goal I think that I have to prepare in Japan. Before leaving, I should learn Japanese things because I will have to tell others about my country. It must be necessary and important as one of Japanese. There are many people from different countries in the US. If I am asked about Japan, I want to tell with being proud.
I already know studying there must be hard and tough for me. So I will always have troubles or problems. I don't have a strong heart to fight with them now. But being positive, I think those kinds of situation are chances to establish myself.
Anyway I am really looking forward to it!
